MetaCrawler - great for checking all the bases, searches using all other engines

AltaVista - defines "information highway"

DogPile! - Great new search engine I have just found, it searches all of the different engines like Metacrawler, but instead it separates all the results by engine. Its other feature is called MetaFind, which can be accessed at the bottom of the page if you don't find the sites you were looking for.
